Second Division have mixed results.

Rio Armstrong and Max Symes took 5 wickets jointly against Graydon Sealy Secondary School on Saturday.

Windward's Second Division played their final preliminary round matches of the BCA T20 Plate Competition the weekend of April 20th and 21st, when they travelled to Bayville on the Saturday to face Graydon Sealy Secondary School, and then Dayrells Road to play Wanderers on the Sunday. Winning the toss on Saturday, captain Lamar Springer invited the school team to bat first, and opened the bowling with club President, Andrew Lythcott, who took the first wicket in the fifth over when Gradson Bowens was caught by Cherran Thompson having made 26 runs off 20 balls faced and the score 32/1. Sadiki Nurse would take the next two wickets, bowling Darien Harewood out for 7, and getting a LBW decision against Tyrek Boyce on 8 runs, with the score now 44/3 after 8 overs. Kai Rollins would claim the next wicket, with another LBW decision 3 overs later, the score now 51/4. Rio Armstrong would take the first of his three wickets in the twelfth over, dismissing Ty Massiah with a Leg Before Decision, then followed that up by bowling Jason Moses out three balls later, the scoreboard now reading 53/6 with seven overs remaining. Romario Yearwood would be run out thanks to quick fielding of Max Symes three overs later, then Armstrong would send Alexander Codrington back to the pavilion with another LBW decision in the following over. Symes would take the wicket of Jeremiah Forde who was caught by Micah Stuart early in the seventeenth over, then he would take the final wicket, that of the lone female in the match, when Renisha Brathwaite was caught by Springer, having made 8 runs off 12 balls faced. Graydon Sealy would make 78 all out in 19 overs. Lamar Springer would open the batting for the Green & Gold but only faced 3 balls before being caught by Bowens off the bowling of Harewood, bringing Cherran Thompson to join Alan Branch in the middle. Thompson too would fall victim to the bowling of Harewood, being bowled on the first ball he faced, the school children elated with Windward having just 11 runs for 2 wickets with 4 balls having been bowled. Micah Stuart would replace Thompson in the middle, and he along with Branch knocked of the remaining 68 runs required, Branch making 38 not out, while Stuart made 13 not out. Windward's win would give them a 2 point lead over Wanderers, who occupied second place in the zone, their match being affected by the torrential rains that flooded the west of the island that afternoon.

Sunday at Dayrells Road was sunny, and Wanderers needed a win to secure a spot in the quarter finals, while a No Decision would favour Windward. Winning the toss, Windward opted to field first sending Jon-Ross Brathwaite and Amadi Catwell in to open for the home side. Brathwaite would lose his wicket when Sadiki Nurse bowled him in the second over with the scoreboard showing 8 runs. Kai Rollins would claim the next wicket when Marvin Forde was caught by Elon Davis at the end of the ninth over, the score now 77/2. Davis would feature again when he ran out Damien Chase at the start of the eighteenth over, then two balls later, Lamar Springer would catch opener Catwell off the bowling of Ronnico Ross, with scoreboard showing 161/4. One over later, Naje Bishop would bowl Ian Bradshaw, then on the penultimat ball of the innings, Ross would claim the wicket of Rajeev Parsooram who was caught by Springer, the home team having made 189/6. Glenmar Hinds and Alan Branch opened the batting for the Lucas Street Lads but Branch would be caught by Forde off the bowling of Jovon Richards on the first ball faced and 10 runs on the board, bringing Davis to join Hinds. Davis' time in the middle was short lived, as he was bowled by Jayden Chase in the next over with just eight runs having been added to the score. Hinds was next to go, being caught and bowled by Richards the following over the score now 25/3 in the fourth over. Naje Bishop would attempt to steady things, but would surrender his wicket in eighth over having made 25 off 16 balls when he was caught by Brathwaite off the bowling of Ezron Walrond, with the score now 63/4. Walrond would claim the wicket of Micah Stuart before the water break, the visitors now 67/5. Walrond would take his third wicket of the match when Rollins was caught by Richards at the start of the twelfth over, with the score having moved to 85/6 with 8 overs remaining to make the 105 runs required. Springer and Ross would enjoy a 20 run partnership lasting just 3 overs taking the score to 105/7. Unfortunately Windward would fall short of the target, making just 147/9 in their 20overs, with Ross making 41 when he was declared out LBW. Windward's next match will be on Saturday June 1st when they play BRC at Content when the BCA 40 Overs Competition gets underway.
