Officially founded on 11th of October 1921 at Congo Road Plantation, prior to moving to it’s present location of Lucas Street on December 21 1971, but with evidence that suggests the name Windward Cricket Club was being used as far back as 1892 or ‘93 and playing on the grounds at Codrington College, the club has constantly evolved.
Primarily focusing on Cricket during it’s existence, but branching out into other sporting disciplines such as field hockey, football, netball, tennis, darts and table tennis over the years as members have shown interest, Windward has always been known as not only a competitive club, but a social club as well. Currently we have cricket teams playing in the Barbados Cricket Association First and Second Division competitions, as well as Under 13's and Under 15's teams. We also have a tennis team which has won the Barbados Tennis Association tournament in 2018, 2019 & 2020. 
If you’re in the area on a Saturday afternoon between February and November, you are sure to find either a tennis or cricket match being played, so pop in, have drink, chat with the members, and enjoy the game.
