Windward's Intermediate side played their first away game when they travelled to Richmond Gap, St. Michael to play St. Leonard's Boy School on Saturday. The home team won the toss and opted to bat first, putting the Green & Gold in the field, with Jewaun Cumberbatch to open the bowling. Cumberbatch took the first wicket, that of Ethan Welch, in the fifth over with the score on 29, and ended his four overs with 1 wicket for 28 runs. He was joined by Shae Branch, bowling from the opposite end, with Branch allowing just 4 runs in his opening over, and total of 29 during his four overs with the ball. Captain Sean Thornton claimed the next wicket when Chris St. Hill caught Yusef Teladia who was on 31, in the eighth over and the score on 41/2. The pair of Thornton and St. Hill would team up again in the eighteenth over, when the later would catch Kerry Holder on 9 runs. Thornton would end the day with 2 wickets for 24 runs during his four overs. Ronaldo Callender continued with his consistent spin attack, taking the wickets of Joshua Haynes in the eleventh over, and Dre Springer in the nineteenth, ending his four overs with 2 wickets for 27 runs. Callender was also instrumental in taking the wickets of Demar Graham in the sixteenth, and Zachery Carter a few balls later, catching them both off the bowling of Sean Merritt, who allowed 16 runs with his two overs with the ball. Rounding out the bowling attack for the lads from Lucas Street was Chris St. Hill, who matched Merritt's 16 runs from 2 overs. St. Leonard's ended their innings with 147/7 in 20 overs.

Opening the batting for the visitors were Alan Branch and Joshua Walker who set about tackling the score set by the school boys, taking 11 runs in the first over, 9 in the following, and had taken the score to 84 when Branch was caught out on 34 in the 10th over, bringing Thornton into bat. Thornton's visit to the crease was brief as he was dismissed having scored just a single run, a stark contrast to last weeks 92 not out. Next up was Shae Branch, who also struggled with the bowling and was dismissed LBW having 3 runs from the three balls he faced, and bringing Ronaldo Callender to bat. "Callie" answered the call, and he along with Walker, added a further 39 runs to the board when Walker was caught behind on 60 and the score now 133/4 with five overs remaining. Callender's wicket fell two overs later having been declared leg before wicket on 24, the board showing 138/5 with less than three overs remaining and Kai Rollins and Elon Davis at bat. Rollins and Davis added a further 9 runs to score before Davis was returned to the clubhouse with 4 runs to his credit, and bringing Ken Mason to the crease. Rollins ended the day on 6 not out, with Mason having made 1 not out, and Windward winning the match by 4 wickets, having scored 148/6 in 18.4 overs.

The Intermediate get a rest this coming weekend as they have a bye.
