Windward's Intermediate side travelled to Bridgefield, St. Thomas to face Melrose Sports Club in their final regular season match. Losing the toss to the home team, the lads from Lucas Street were put in to bat first, with Alan Branch and Ken Mason opening for the visitors. Mason was first to be dismissed, being bowled in the 5th over, having made 10 runs and bringing Elon Davis to the crease. Davis made a quick two runs off the first ball he faced, but was caught out on the very next ball with the scoreboard reading 26/2 and bringing Kai Rollins to join Branch in the middle. The pair added a further 24 runs in 6 overs when Branch was declared Leg Before Wicket in the 11th over having 11 runs to his name. He was replaced by Ronaldo Callender who was returned to the clubhouse on the next ball, and bringing vice-captain Shae Branch to join Rollins at centre. Branch opened his account by running in a pair of 3's before hitting a 6 in the 15th over, but was caught out in the next over having made 15 runs. The score now 82/5 with 4 overs remaining. Taurean Best replaced Branch and along with Rollins added a further 23 runs to the board when Best was declared LBW with one over remaining in the innings, bringing in Chris St.Hill to join Rollins. St.Hill managed to get 8 runs from the 5 balls he faced before being caught out and bringing Sean Merritt to bat. Rollins ended the innings with 52 runs not out, and Windward having made 116/7.
Opening the bowling for the Sagicor supported Windward team was Jewaun Cumberbatch, who allowed a single run in his first over and ended the day with 1 wicket for 20 runs from 4 overs. Shae Branch led the Windward bowling attack taking 2 wickets while allowing just 7 runs in his 4 overs. Ronaldo Callender took 1 wicket for 24 runs during his 4 overs, while Sean Merritt took 2 wickets for 25 runs in 3 overs. Chris St.Hill claimed 1 wicket and allowed 9 runs from his 2 overs, and Elon Davis had 1 wicket for 3 runs in his single over with the ball. Windward bowled out Melrose for 91 runs in 20 overs, and finish the season 3rd in Zone A.
